If you want to start in Hoenn region, visit labaratory and choose one of these pokemon:

i want a starter pokemon it will be mudkip

then create a character this is just to show you which starters are avaliable

it wont let me create a character

1) Go to Trainer Creation
2) Read and Copy the Trainer Template
3) Create a New Topic and Paste the Template in it
4) Fill in the Template
5) Wait to be Approved

how do you get a pokemon?

Well you just make a trainer and put a pokemon in the trainer creation topic like this for example http://www.pokemonworldrpg.com/t4276-fourth-trainer-3?highlight=fourth+trainer
you start of with one pokemon and when you catch a pokemon in the story you can ask a moderator to add it for you in the trainer topic.
