Sailing Away, Amidst the Ocean's Morning Breeze

Gyarados was in a fury, not bothering to listen to the Sing and promptly knocked aside the Master Ball. (Don't worry, you didn't lose it. You can use it again when Gyarados is exhausted from its rampage and calmer.) It built up awesome power in it's mouth and shot a superbly powerful Hyper Beam. Since Hyper Beam is said to incinerate foes, Lapras was in danger of being gravely injured.

(Not being mean, really...That's what the random number generator gave me.)

There was nothing Alice could do when the Hyper Beam came toward Lapras, and Gyarados had knocked away the Master Ball. Lapras fainted unfortunately.

Alice meanwhile swam to the Master Ball and decided to call out Tentacruel. "Supersonic!" Alice ordered her new Pokemon. She then promptly threw her Master Ball at the exhausted Gyarados while it was recovering from Hyper Beam usage.

Alice was finally able to rush to the surface! She gasped for breath before excitedly prcolaiming her victory, the Master Ball containing Gyarados in her palm. "Alright.. I don't have Lapras anymore, but I now certainly have a powerful Pokemon to protect me." Gyarados was completely uninjured, and she wasn't sure if it would obey her. So instead she stood atop Tentacruel and decided to look around the shore in the water near Olivine's Lighthouse for Pokemon.

(Which badges do you have? Until you have atleast 3 Badges, I don't think lvl 40 pokemon obey >~<)

A Mareep was happily playing with a Growlithe and an Electrode on the beach, just near the lighthouse, and took no notice of Alice or Tentacruel. A Pichu, accompanied by a Plusle and Minun jumped out from a nearby bush and joined them in a frolic. It was truly a cute sight. Your lead pokemon's happiness went up by 4!

(You know, the happier your pokemon are with you, the more they obey you?

Alice saw the events unfolding near the Lighthouse from sea, several small rodent Pokemon were playing happily. but they weren't water types and thus weren't cute to Alice who merely took a passing glance at them before looking into the water around her and near the rocky shore under the waves.

(0.0 my choices were insulted...I love the pokemon I mentioned, except for Electrode. Also, don't you think having only water pokemon is boring? -_0)

A Psyduck was gamboling along the coast alongside a Krabby, who seemed to be stopping every once in a while, and pick something out of the sand.

(Nah, but not having the ones I want is >.>)
Alice saw a wandering Psyduck walking along the coast. The water Pokemon were starting to come out, but she didn't feel like battling the Psyduck. She was looking for Pokemon beneath the waves, or perhaps glowing Pokemon that she could spot under the water.

(>.> Picky picky.)

A Lantern was swimming across, minding it's own business. It was newly evolved and didn't really want to battle anyone until it was sure of it's new powers.

Alice saw a Lanturn swimming in front of her. Seeing it, she decided to leap off Tentacruel's head into the water, ordering her Pokemon to attack. "Supersonic on that Lanturn!" She ordered Tentacruel. Lanturn would be a great Pokemon for her team. She decided that she simply must have it.

(How did I know what?)

Lanturn saw that coming and retaliated with it own Supersonic. It started flailing around it's light, as if taunting Tentacruel to attack. Blinded by the glory of it's own power, it wouldn't even defend against electric attacks, so confident it was.

Lanturn's own Supersonic contacted Tentacruel directly. Alice was unsure if the Supersonic she had ordered had hit or not. She wasn't sure if Tentacruel would be okay now that it was confused, but she tried anyways. "Poison Jab!" Tentacruel proceeded to swim forward, zig-zagging in it's delusions and trying to jab Lanturn with it's tentacles.

Lanturn leapt lightly away, trying to escape. They could really swim when they wanted to. It came in contact with another Lanturn who after a small conversation agreed to be his sidekick. It swam back, and both of them used Spark together, powering up each other's moves and healing them with Volt Absorb. The Spark could harm Alice if she remained in the water any longer.

Alice saw that the two Lanturn were helping eachother, she had to react fast. Perhaps now was the time to use Gyarados? Alice was far enough away for the electricity to not reach her, which she was thankful for. Tentacruel wasn't doing very well, and only ended up missing Lanturne. Seeing that she was outnumbered, she called out Gyarados and recalled Tentacruel, instead bringing Lumineon to the fight. Wondering if either of them were Male, Alice ordered Lumineon to use Attract on the Lanturn that had confused Tentacruel earlier."Lumineon, Attract!" She commanded. Then she turned to Gyarados, who would hopefully obey her commands. "Hyper Beam on the Lanturn!" Alice commanded. With her two Pokemon, hopefully this fight would be a bit more even.

The red hearts of Attract struck one but harmlessly bounced off the other, signifying one was ale and the other, female. But the Gyarados promptly turned away and started loafing around. The female Lanturn continued using Spark and a jolt hit Gyarados. It promptly flew into a rage and used Dragon Rage, knocking her out in one go. The male, seeing this snapped out of attraction and flew out of water, power gathering in it's bulb and used Thunder Wave on Lumineon and Gyarados.

Alice was annoyed when Gyarados disobeyed her, instead using Dragon Rage. But at least Lumineon's attract had succeded. The Male Lanturn however managed to snap out of the Attract briefly and charge forwards, sending a Thunder Wave through the water. "Lumineon! Whirlpool!" Alice ordered. She wanted Lumineon to trap the Male Lanturn into a Whirlpool. If this worked, it would hopefully be an easier target for Gyarados, whom was unlucky and was struck by thunder wave. "Serves you right, big dumb fish!" She spouted at Gyarados since it had disobeyed her orders. "Obey me and this will not happen next time! Now use Hyper Beam on Lanturn!" She was annoyed that Gyarados had disobeyed her, but at least it managed to knock out the Female Lanturn.

Gyarados looked annoyed but atleast it was humbled. Before using Hyper Beam, it flopped it's tail once, creating a large wave and pushing Alice aside as if to say Don't call me names. You are just barely adept. The recoil of the Hyper Beam sent Gyarados backwards and if Alice would have been there, she would have been smothered by the 518 lbs of Gyarados. The Lanturn looked weak and sent weak jolts of electricity through the water. The salt water conducted the electricity and Lanturn recovered sufficiently health only to be overpowered by a large Whirlpool created by the Lumineon.

Alice let out a small laugh when Gyarados brushed her aside with her tail. It then proceeded to follow her orders. Lanturn seemed to look sufficiently weakened by the Hyper Beam attack, and Gyarados was paralyzed. "Alright, you've earned a rest." She said, recalling Gyarados. It was just Lumineon and Lanturn now. Alice decided now would be a great time to try and catch Lanturn. Alice pulled a Pokeball out and sent it towards Lanturn underwater, focusing her powers to create a small but sharp and fast current to send the Pokeball rocketing toward Lanturn like a torpedo.

The pokeball collided with such momentum, it flung the Lanturn right out of the water. Fortunately the beam sucked it in.

Alice scooped up the Pokeball triumphantly. Her team was already beginning to come together quite well. Alice decided to head back to the Pokemon Center since she was so close, standing on top of Tentacruel as it beached ashore where she recalled it, heading back up the beach to the Pokemon Center.

Nurse Joy was still there, looking for a way to get out.

(Coe to think of it, in the cartoon, there's no way out, so how does she eat? Where does she sleep? Doesn't she get tired of standing?)

She yawned but iediately brightened up a Alice entered. Oh my. Have your pokeon been in a battle? She asked as she healed them with a small tune and a few glows. She put them on a tray and gave the back. Another trainer walked in and got his pokeon healed. Looking at Alice, he said ,"Hi, would you like a battle with me? A 3-on-3 together!" Tut tut tut! Interrupted Nurse Joy. Whatever it is, take it outside... She waited as the boy remained motionless. NOW!!! She yelled as he scurried out of fright.

Getting her Pokemon back from the nurse, Alice politely refused, as she was still in the Pokemon center. "Maybe later." She said. The waters of Olivine's shore seemed to have been quite bountiful today, and she didn't want to pass that up. Her Pokemon weren't entirely trustworthy yet as she had just caught them. She would have to refuse the battle for now. She walked out of the Pokemon center and headed for shore, keeping an eye out near the Lighthouse for any Pokemon clinging to the rocks which were being battered by the waves.

True to her word, a Starmie and a Staryu seemed to be glued to the rocks and...fast asleep.

This was perfect! For once Alice was able to sneak up to some Pokemon. A Starmie no less. She knew that she had to try and capture it immediately. Alice sent out her newly captured Lanturn as well as Lumineon into the wavy shore. "Lumineon, Bounce, targetting Starmie! Lanturn, Spark on Starmie!" She commanded. Lanturn quickly discharged a spark in Starmie's direction and Lumineon bounced high into the air.

The Starmie, still sleeping was covered by Protect. It had set it up before falling asleep. The attacks bounced off harmlessly. Also the protective coat wouldn't come off until Starmie wakes or it is worn out by attacks, which could take time. And Starmie was stuck to the rock like a Clamperl.
