Haunted House [Closed]

Jumping over the fence of the mansion in Eterna Forest Ray starts walking towards the mansion in hopes of catching a new recruit. As he opens the door Ray notices a lot of things have grown quite old and that dust has been gathering over the years. Shrugging to himself at this Ray simply walks further when the door suddenly closes behind him. Turning around Ray attempts to open the door again but for some reason it seemed to be impossible to do so. Scratching his head he turns his head to his partner that is on his shoulder. The Skorupi simply looks at Ray with a confused look on its face before shrugging at the strange phenomenon. Agreeing with his partner Ray walks deeper in the mansion hoping to catch himself a Ghost Pokémon.

The entrance of the intruder annoyed a Burmy hanging by the door. It hopped down with an angry look on it's face.

Burmy. level 19

Seeing the Burmy in front of him Ray decides to simply get away as he doesn't want to weaken his Pokémon to an opponent he won't catch anyway. Grabbing a small purple ball from his pocket he throws it on the ground, creating a cloud of dust. Using his ninja skills Ray simply dashes away from the Burmy unknown to him into the kitchen room.

A ghostly shadow appeared before Ray. It disappeared in the twinkling of an eye. It appeared again behind him. A Gastly appeared from the shadow. Most uncommonly, it seemed friendly and sociable. But it was it's glimmer that truly caught one's eye.

Shiny Gastly, level 24

Seeing a Ghost Pokémon so soon as he entered surprised Ray a little bit, but what really caught his eye was the fact it wasn't a normal Pokémon, it was a Shiny. Seeing that it didn't seem quite aggressive Ray would try to negotiate with the Pokémon rather than be a mindless barbarian and immediately attack is.

Good evening Gastly. I've been searching for one such as you and was wondering if you'd like to join my team. Of course I'm always willing to prove myself if that's what you want.

Ray simply states as he grabs an empty Pokéball.

Gastly hovered silently for a while then started darting around, wishing for a battle.

Shrugging to himself as the Gastly didn't come to him, Ray simply grabs another Pokéball sending out his Cubchoo.

Choo?

Sweatdropping at his Pokémon Ray simply shakes his head.

No it's not dinner time. Anyway use Powder Snow

Feeling a little sad at the fact he can't eat yet Kori looks at the Gastly with some determination, as it can simply feel that the Pokémon is stronger than him. Putting its hands in front of its body Kori starts gathering energy between them, creating a light blue light. It then releases the gathered energy in the form of wind consisting with ice, aiming to harm and to injure the Gastly.

The Icy Wind knocked Gastly back. A grim grin appeared on her face and used Confuse Ray, following up with Lick and Night Shade.

Spoiler:

Seeing a very familiar attack coming the way of his Cubchoo he orders it to dodge the attack

Dodge those beams and start storing energy.

Listening to its trainer the Cubchoo takes a guarded stance as white energy starts gathering around his body. Receiving a direct hit from both attacks the Cubchoo keeps standing while gathering the energy of the damage taken, waiting the order of its master to unleash it.

Spoiler:

Gastly, sensing what would be coming hurriedly used Hypnosis. Then it hovered around, grinning, wagging it's tongue out.

Kori, unleash everything before those beams hit. Bide

Ray orders his Cubchoo. Without warning Kori unleashes all energy and sends a white beam towards the Gastly, engulfing it completely and damaging it as well.

Don't give it any rest and follow it up with Icy Wind

Nodding its head the Cubchoo seems to be gathering energy in the back of his mouth which gains a blueish color. Without warning it releases said energy in the form of wind with snow in it towards Gastly, attempting to harm it and freeze it as well.

Frozen in place, the Gastly was defenceless. It struggled and quite suddenly broke out of the ice, using Lick at Cubchoo again, looking to paralyse.

Raising an eyebrow at the attack Ray mentally shrugs to himself as he orders his Cubchoo to counter attack.

Kori use another Icy Wind and scare it a bit with Growl

The Cubchoo sends another wind of ice at the Gastly before the tongue could touch him. Kori then jumps backwards a bit as it growls dangerously at the Gastly in an attempt to lower its Attack.

Gastly raised an eyebrow, looking impressed. It floated closer slowly and started hovering around Ray, indicating it wanted to be caught.

Widening his eyes in shock at the fact the Gastly wants to be caught this easily he gives the Pokémon a warm smile as he grabs the same empty Ball as before. He opens the ball and offers the Gastly the choice to push the button and join them.

The Gastly pushes the button and enters the ball, the red light enveloping her. It gave a small wiggle and a small click signified the success of the capture.

Smiling at the Pokéball that now has another member to his team. Ray turns around to leave the mansion. Havnig caught all Pokémon that he wanted Ray plans on walking to Oreburgh City for his first Gym Battle and start his conquest of the Sinnoh Region.

An Ariados who was spinning it's web watched the entire battle. It hung down straight in front of Ray's face and clicked it's pincers.

Ariados, level 22

Spoiler:

Seeing the Ariados in front of him only makes Ray raise an eyebrow at its attempt to scare him. Going for his newly caught partner Ray jumps back to create some space between them. Throwing his Gastly out he sweatdrops as she starts spinning around in the air with her tongue of her mouth.

Murasakino use Hypnosis followed with Night Shade

Nodding its head the Gastly stops fooling around as it sends two beams at the Ariados trying to put it to sleep, followed by two dark beams shot out of her eyes intending to harm the possible sleeping spider.

Spoiler:

Ariados fell asleep and dropped to the floor, leaving it open to the Night Shade. Hearing the resounding 'thud', a Ninjask flew out of the shadows. Seeing it's friend lying asleep on the ground, it launched a vicious Fury Cutter at Gastly, an attack of six hits.

Seeing another Pokémon appear out of nowhere Ray grabs another Pokéball, calling for his Cubchoo.

Murasakino dodge those attacks and use Night Shade on the Ninjask, Kori use Icy Wind

Nodding her head the Gastly shoots two dark beams towards the ninja bug as Kori gathers energy in the back of his mouth which gains a blueish color. Without warning it releases said energy in the form of wind with snow in it towards both Pokémon, attempting to harm them and freeze them as well.

Taken aback by the rebellions, Ninjask tried to flee. Ariados, who had woken up, too tried to skitter away.

Raising an eyebrow at their attempt to leave Ray scoffs at them. As they are fleeing from a battle Ray doesn't even want to fight them. Calling his partners back he disappears from the place he was standing. The door flies open as Ray dashes out the mansion and jumps over the fence. Looking in the direction of Oreburgh City Ray dashes that way, leaving the mansion behind and its inhabitants, until he comes back that is.
