Approaching a Pokemon League Finish: 6 Gym Badges Down, 2 Gym Badges To Go

Oliver entered Icirrus City embracing the cold weather as he pulled up the hood on his sleeveless jacket moving through the city past the playing children towards where his map said the gym was. Oliver then found it within minutes passing the Pokemon League's Pokeball Statues and entering through the large metallic doors.

Once inside he saw that the floor was completely covered in Ice Skating quickly to his position where he stopped and stood calling out loud "I'm here to challenge the gym leader so, where are you?!" awaiting his opponent as he took a pokeball from his waist enlarging it and throwing it into the air saying "Get ready Alakazam!" Alakazam appearing in the white light and levitating cross-legged awaiting Brycen and his pokemon. Meanwhile Oliver turned on his Camera again on a new disc to record the battle once more.

Brycen stepped out of the small room behind the stadium. Looking Oliver over, he smiled. "You look strong boy, don't disapoint me." Overall he seemed to have a calm way of speaking. Sending out his first Pokemon, Bertic, he awaited Oliver's choice.

Alakazam remained on the field meditating calmly as Oliver said "Your looking at it" so, with that he called out "Kick this off now Alakazam, Psybeam" Alakazam calmly first teleporting behind Beartic in an attempt for a surprise attack before using Psybeam putting his two spoon's together and sending a multi-colored beam at Beartic, His eyes still closed as he focused using his Psychic powers to see.

Bertic immediately looked to see where Alakazam had gone. Turning just in time, he used a Slash to hit the attack away from him. Growling at Alakazam, he let out a Swagger attack in hopes of confusing him. Raising Alakazam's attack shouldn't be much of a problem, it usually had dramatically low attack, and the Swagger couldn't possibly raise it to a danngerous level.

Brycen watched aprehensivly.

Alakazam however quickly avoided the attack the only way he knew how with Teleport, Oliver then called out "Now Alakazam Psychic" Alakazam remaining calm as Beartic was surrounded in a light blue outline before being taken all the way up to the ceiling smashing into it and then being thrust down at the ground with speed leaving Beartic in a crater on the Ice.

(You decide whether or not Beartic Faints seen as Psychic can't miss lol. P.S. Beartic is now released of the Psychic attack)

Beartic was odly sturdy, as he held on by a string. Shakily getting to his feet, he tried to at least hit the opponent before being taken out. He roared and caused a large mass of ice to go hurtling at Alakazam. He was using his last bit of strength to use an Icicle Crash.

Alakazam calmly however used Psychic once more stopping the Icicle's just before they'd have hit him and turning them around returning them at Beartic with speed to finish Beartic off.

Bertic was finished off and fell to the ground. Brycen gritted his teeth while he returned his strongest Pokemon. He threw another ball into the air and released a Vanillish.Not waiting to see what Alakazam will do, he immediately launched three Mirror Shots in quick succession at him. The strategy seemed to be to keep hitting so the opponent can't get a move out.

"Interesting choice of tactic Brycen but Alakazam has other idea's now Alakazam use Disable" Alakazam using the move and preventing Vanillish from using Mirror Shot. Oliver then said "Now Alakazam use Psycho Cut" Alakazam calmly spinning, his arms glowing, as light blue crescent shaped blades appeared, in rapid succession heading straight for Vanillish.

Unable to launch any more Mirror Shots, Vanillish used an Astonish to slice the blades rushing toward him. Seeing that that strategy would not work, he gained a glint in his eyes. Using Icy Breath, Vanillish covered the entire field in a frosty haze, making it near impossible for the opponents to see each other, or even aim. He was now on the defensive, moving around the field so Alakazam couldn't get a clear shot.

Oliver smiled as he knew something Brycen had forgot. Alakazam wasn't seeing Vanillish at all, in fact he hadn't even opened his eye's since the battle had started instead he was calmly meditating throughout, sensing the opponent's location. Oliver then said "Now Alakazam let's use Psybeam" Alakazam immediately teleporting behind Vanillish as, Vanillish made it so, that Vanillish couldn't see Alakazam but, Alakazam could Find Vanillish, Alakazam then followed Vanillish around before eventually, launching a Psybeam attack on Vanillish calmly from behind full power attempting to finish Vanillish off.

It was a dreadful mistake on Vanillish's part, as there was no way he could see the oncoming attack speed at him. Getting hit in the back, a direct hit at that, was more than enough to take out the ice cream cone thingy. Brycen calmly returned him and threw out his final Pokemon, Cryogonal.

Cryogonal, having taken in the sight, or rather lack of sight, on the field, acted acordingly. First, he created a light screen around himself. Then he used rapid spin, the momentum sending him in random directions, and making him bounce off the icicles on the field as if he were in a pinball machine. The rapid spinning should do well enough to repel attacks, and he didn't have to see in order to be a hazard to Alakazam.

Oliver laughed at this tactic and called out "Now Alakazam Psychic" so, Just as Cryogonal was about to strike Alakazam he was stopped being held in place by Psychic, before being slammed into one wall first making a dent then the other wall, making another dent, then the ceiling making a crater on the ceiling then being slammed straight into the floor making a large crater on the floor with Cryogonal in it. Cryogonal was released from the Psychic attack at this moment as Oliver waited for the result.

(Again you pick whether or not Cryogonal survives it)

Cryogonal didn't stand a chance. He was halted, thrown around, and at the end of it, fainted. It was Oliver's win. Brycen nodded, taking out the usual package of badge, TM, and money. Handing this to Oliver, he retreated into the back room to heal his fainted Pokemon.

Oliver knew the drill, taking the package and disassembling it, placing the TM, in his TM Case, his Badge in his badge case and his Money in his wallet. Now Oliver only required one badge officially but he wasn't gonna settle with that, he was going for the full house, all 11 badges. Oliver then called out to the back room "Thanks Brycen that was a great battle, see you again at some point", with that he took out his map and showed it to Alakazam, so with that they disappeared.
