Ika and Torchics first training session.

Ika grinned as he stepped out onto the makeshift training ground he had found. He had his trusty Torchic by his side and immediately began to speak "Okay Torchic! Let's get to work!" The Torchic voiced it's approval with an energetic "Chic!" Ika pointed at a small tree a few feet in front of them, "Torchic, use Scratch!" Torchic ran up at the tree and with it's little tiny claws scratched the tree knocking it to the the ground in one swift motion. "Good Job Torchic!" Torchic appeared to smile and it's eyes twinkled knowing it had so far pleased it's trainer. "Now Torchic, use Rock-slide on that boulder and crack it!" Torchic did as told and launched large rocks at the boulder and caused them to fall directly on the boulder, cracking it visibly down the middle in a zig- zag formation. "Great, now weaken the boulder with a flamethrower!" Torchic cocked it's head back and drew heat from the flames in his belly and created a ball of fire in it's peak, it then shot it forth with as much power it could muster, burning the rock with ease and causing it to radiate with a red glow.

Torchic hopped back and admired it's handiwork with Ika, it had pleased it's partner Ika considerably with it's work, evident by the smile on his face. "Wow good job Torchic, you've almost destroyed it!" Ika said this giddy as a young child, he radiated passion and joy at this point. He then pointed at Torchic, "Use Focus Energy and ready yourself for the final attack!" Torchic began to gather it's composure, slowly steadying itself and building up as much power as it could muster within itself, it would not let it's partner down. "Good job Torchic now use Flamethrower one more time, and launch yourself at it using scratch and destroy the rock!" Torchic once more drew it's head back calling upon all the power it could muster from it's belly, it's mouth agape with a ball of fire. "Now Torchic!" Ika yelled at the top of his lungs as Torchic released the scorching hot flames from it's mouth and burned the rock till it was to weak to stay solid. "Now Torchic, break that rock with scratch, finish it!" Torchic did as instructed and once more darted forwards, and drew back it's claws, and cut the boulder in half down the middle, making sure that the job his partner had instructed was done, and done it most certainly was. "Great job Torchic!"

Torchic smiled up at it's trainer, proud of the work it had done and proud of the happiness it had brought it's partner Ika, "Tor-Chic!"
