"I was thinking of calling her Marina! But I'm not sold on it yet. Maybe Surskit will help me!" Rosie continued with the same excitement, stopping only when she heard and saw the shaking of one of the tripods. Surskit made a little surprised sound, eyes narrowing as she took a few steps in front of the young trainer, her natural leadership instincts kicking in. "It must be a psychic! Or a ghost!" Rosie suggested, but she had no idea of figuring out what the source was. Her first instinct wasn't to panic because it could be a set-up, although she wouldn't hide any emotion necessarily. It all looked good, after all. "Surskit! We've gotta find it!"

Beyond the initial confusion, the production crew knew when to fall silent and merely do their jobs. The cameras still in working order turned to take Rosie's words and actions in, and the camera man now without a tool, quickly backed out of shot and stood with one of the others. The Director watched with shining eyes, though she too didn't speak. Rosie was the focus of the show, after all.

It almost seemed as if the invisible force was hoping to catch attention by the ruckus it was causing, as the shaking camera grew steady once Rosie's words rang out declaring a search. "S-Sable," a weary voice caused. It sounded as if its source was now at the foot of the tripod, and if the girl and her Pokemon looked closely enough, they could make out a transparent outline of the troublemaker staring back at them and turning to glance around its surroundings, as if looking for something. It didn't fully materialize, though, so the imperfect sight of the cameras couldn't seem to pick up the mysterious Pokemon.

"Sable...?" Rosie repeated, having faintly heard it. She couldn't see, although her Surskit had, and was now pointing a dark blue leg and chirping in the direction of the tripod. The child went through her bag to get out a Pokedex, which bleeped and opened itself when the sensor picked up the dark ghost:

'Sableye digs the ground with sharpened claws to find rocks that it eats. Substances in the eaten rocks crystallize and rise up to the Pokémon's body surface.' Rosie gasped at the reading and the Pokemon's picture on the screen, however the stats reading was promising. Sableye was too strong for Surskit to take out, but Samantha would manage, surely? "Sableye, you stop that right now! That's not yours!" Rosie shouted. She reached for Samantha's Luxury Ball anyway. Surskit only knew bubble, but at least her starter had a bit more going for it. Rosie's eyes narrowed. Maybe this could be her second battle and second capture!

Upon the sound of the Pokedex beeping to life, the ghost Pokemon materialized, physically flinching as she did so. Her jewel-like eyes swept her surroundings before finally resting on Rosie and her Surskit. Holding her hands out in a sign of understanding, she stepped away from the equipment but seemed hesitant to back off further. That is, until her gaze caught sight of the fact that some of the cameras were lowered toward her, documenting all that went on around them. A small grin of triumph crossed the Pokemon's face, and she noticed Rosie's battle-ready stance. Sableye was happy so long as the cameras stayed on her, and eyeing the ball in the young trainer's hand, she knew where her refuge would lie. But first, to humor the human... she took a battle pose, allowing the trainer to gather her wits and make the first move.

Meanwhile, a stocky man wrapped in a trenchcoat was watching events unfold with narrow, spiteful eyes. They weren't directed toward Rosie, nor the production crew. Instead, they were drawn to Sableye, glowering toward the Pokemon as he stood back as part of the crowd. With so much attention, and film evidence, there was little he could do about the little escapist bastard. But too much attention may lead to questions... and questions weren't ideal. "I'm not paid enough for this shit," he sighed, turning away to make sure that any evidence of his less than legal work was gone from its current location, he couldn't have the Sableye lead anyone to it...

Rosie cringed a little as the Sableye grinned. It was one spooky ghost when it grinned, given those sparkly jewel eyes and the claws. "Go, Samantha!" She called, her shiny fairy bursting forth in a shower of heart seals. It was an impressive sight, seeing the elusive Surskit in the flanks and her shiny starter on the field, baring her jaws in a 'scary face'. "Use ice fang, go!"

Sableye twitched her head as Samantha charged, and her eyes glowed as she appraised her foe. Instead of jumping away and risking getting too far from the makeshift battle area, she instead spread her legs into a supporting stance and moved to meet the Snubbull as she attacked. She didn't even ready an attack to counter, opting to take the blow and feeling the icy jaws clamp down and deal out a decent amount of damage before the dark ghost type could wriggle free from the teeth's grasp.

Rolling back onto her feet, Sableye had taken the attack to help gauge her foe's strength. Her ultimate goal was to be captured in the end, but she did love a good battle. A white glow surrounded her body, and as it dissipated, so did the fatigue that showed on her face and the ice crystals that clung to her shoulder. A Recover to help even the odds and take away some of the damage caused by the free attack. She was ready to take the offensive. Dashing forward, Sableye's own clawed hands began to sheen and sharpen. She slashed out toward Samantha, attempting a Scratch attack.

Rosie gasped when Samantha's attack struck, then punched the air with a cheer, "Yeah! You go, Sammy!" The child praised, only to cry out as the Sableye moved to strike, "Get back! Quick!" Of course they weren't fast enough and her fairy took the clawed assault, but Rosie had also noticed that the ghost appeared pristine. "What...? But how...?"

"Snubbull, Snubbull." Her Pokemon prompted, growling at the opponent. Rosie nodded. They needed to get it under a status affliction.
"Try thunder fang!" Rosie commanded, and with sparking teeth, the dog rushed once more. If they could slow it down, maybe they could weaken it before it could heal itself. It would help with the speed issue, too. Battles against ghosts were notorious for being tricky, and this one had little to no weaknesses-- none that they could take advantage of, anyway.

After landing a successful Scratch, Sableye was too close to the opposing Snubbull to hope of dodging in time, so she instead twisted her body while balancing on one leg in order to slightly fall forward and take the blunt of the impact on her shoulder where there would be less strain. She suddenly stiffed in surprise as the electricity crackled through her body, causing her knees to buckle and resonating electricity travel as static across her arms and legs. Every movement was strained, and the paralysis was obvious. Her head twitched to the side as she contemplated her next move. Psychic energy built up over the Sableye's skull, and she drudged toward Samantha, greatly slowed due to the Paralysis. She was attempting a Zen Headbutt, but the attack lacked much force to it.

"Jump!" Rosie cried, seeing the way that the Sableye twisted to headbutt her Pokemon. Samantha did so, practically bouncing off the dual-type's head and landing behind her in a skilled dodge. The idol cheered, which only served to hype up the dog and boost its pride, knowing that all cameras were on them succeeding in that moment. "Use ice fang again!" She saw that Sableye was paralyzed, and just hoped that they could weaken it fast, because chasing recovery moves would have them battling all day. Rosie wanted this ghost for herself! She wanted to win for the public and for herself! They couldn't afford such embarrassment, even at the start!

Sableye was in a bind. She wasn't entirely prideful, but throwing the match would hurt her ego... but using Recover until she either wore herself out or slowly damage her foe was risky. Too much time stalling could cause the crowd to fade... to give the man a chance to catch her once more. She could build her ego back another day. Samantha's Ice Fang landed almost too easily as the paralyzed ghost made little move to dodge it or heal before-hand. After the attack, she struggled to keep to her feet, twitching, as the paralysis took its hold, making her as mobile as a statue as the electricity coursed through her body and she couldn't attack. It was an extremely lucky match for Rosie, especially for her first documented, even if the match was unknowingly thrown in her favor before it even began.

Rosie looked ecstatic. They were lucky, and the paralysis had seemingly won the match for them right away. "Yeah! Go, Samantha, one more ice fang!" She called, and the dog rushed a second time. The little idol enlarged the Luxury Ball, and if the attack hit, she would order her steady to back off and throw the sphere. If not, it would have to wait. Rosie needed to make sure the enemy was weak enough to capture first!

Sableye shuddered after the Paralysis again caused her body to clench up and stumble, making the Snubbull have an ample opportunity to lash out with her icy fangs once again. As the cold attack sapped the last of Sableye's strengths, she conceded defeat. Of course, she knew it would end this way. She had ample opportunity to recover and come back victorious or even turn 'tail' and run, but she'd get the attention of this trainer and the camera people through any means necessary, even her own capture. The Luxury Ball hit her square on and she made no attempts to get out of its way. In a flash of white, she was sucked inside and the orb began shaking. After three small twitches, it stilled and with a resonating 'ding' it showed that the young girl's capture had been a successful one.

Congrats, Sableye was caught! Would you like to give her a nickname?

Rosie was ecstatic that she had won so easily, and never even considered that the Sableye could've allowed it. The Luxury Ball dropped onto the deck, and Samantha trotted a circle before nosing it back to her trainer. The cheering girl scooped up the sphere, peering at the ghost through the translucent shell and then gave her shiny Snubbull a victory fuss. "You're such a good girl! And now we have two sisters!" She beamed, jumping up straight, holding out the ball and giving her hand a wiggle, "I caught it! I caught her!" The child paused, "I'm gonna call her... I'm going to call her... Safiya."
