Lisica's senses were different than Felix's own. Although she couldn't see, the world around her was more... noticeable to her. Her other senses were higher than normal, and the rustling of grass that the Volbeat was causing was enough for her to assume that there was another Pokemon nearby. As Felix spoke his command, she head his Ralts's shuffling feet as it approached the bug and felt a shift in the air. She felt psychic energy, though unlike that of what she was used to. Her abilities to bond with Psychic types made her sensitive to this sort of energy, but she wasn't used to feeling it in an attacking manner. Still, she was curious to feel inside the mind of a psychic type at work in battle. Focusing on the energy of the Confusion attack, she prodded it with her own mind. Immediately, she regretted her curiosity. It flooded into her mind, and a spiking headache erupted into her head, causing her to stagger back and catch herself against Celilec's side to prevent from falling over. With a groan, she rubbed her head and felt her eyes close as she did so. That was pretty stupid, I'm not going to do that again...

When Tasu approached Volbeat, he had prepared himself for a physical attack, unaware that typical Ralts preferred psychic, ranged attacks. Because of his ignorance, he fell easy victim to the Confusion, and it did the intended damage. He was fast enough to regain his wits without feeling any potential confusion as a lasting effect and possibility of the attack, and his wings buzzed angrily. His opponent was much stronger than him, and that one attack had done some serious damage. Deciding that he could use confusion himself, he pulled his small fist back and charged toward Tasu, using his wings to help drive his run forward with more speed. He was aiming to hit the Ralts with a Dizzy Punch!

Felix grinned triumphently, it was obvious that the confusion had gone through as the Pokemon staggered over itself. However, the quick recovery of the opposing Volbeat was not something the boy had expected, obviously neither had Tasu. As the Volbeat came barreling at her, the small green and white Pokemon did her best to avoid the attack. She began to twist in a dance like pattern in an attempt to have her opponent whiz by. However Tasu's late reaction left her vulnerable as the hit connected with her shoulder, sending the Pokemon spiraling much harder than planned. Tasu's spinning came to a stop as she fell to the grass beneath her. Felix had heard the girl behind him stumbling over something, and as much as he wanted to check on her he did his best to resist, despite his interest in the girl his full attention was drawn on his Pokemon. Even if he didn't like giving orders to his Pokemon in low risk situations like this, he felt the attention was the least he could do for them. The boy felt a movement brush against his leg as his other Ralts, Naito, was doing his best to resist jumping to the aid of his partner in crime. Even though he was young even the Pokemon knew that a two against one was wrong. Felix began to doubt that the Ralts would be able to keep his self control if things went too far down hill against this Volbeat. Felix shook the though of his Ralts losing from his head and refocused on the battle at hand. Tasu had already come to a complete stand and restabilized herself. The boy could feel the Physic powers in the air, Tasu was preparing to let out yet another Confusion attack. It was pretty obvious from the attempt at dancing that Tasu wanted to spread her wings some more, become creative, and maybe even a bit mischievous in the fight. However she was limited, nothing amongst the plain battle field allowed it and her minute move pool restrained her even farther. So she did her best with what she had, firing off another attempt at the mental attack.
