Beach battles

Servine Vine Whipped the floor, causing huge fissures to occur between the two foes. It should stop Mudkip and only allow ranged attacks. Skidding backwards, it unleashed another Vine Whip at Mudkip.

Mudkip decided to uses the fissure so he ran back to a point that the Vine Whip won't hit him. Spearow flew over the fissure and the opposite side of Servine and used Growl. Mudkip attempted to use Avalanche on Servine again.

The snow was well out of reach of Servine, that which came close just tumbled into the canyon. Twirling round, it dashed at Spearow, ignoring the Growl before trying to Wrap itself around the Tiny Bird pokemon.

Lucas watched as thing fell apart and he saw the icy rocks fall in the hole. This gave him an idea.
"Mudkip do that again and use them to hop across." Mudkip did as it was asked and jumped on the small glaciers as soon as they began falling and he jumped across and slipped on the last rock and he held on to the edge. He clawed his way up and saw Spearow wiggling around as it was being constricted. Now across be Tackled toward Servine.

Servine turned, eyes sharp. It gave a cry and fired a Leaf Tornado at Mudkip before doing the same to Spearow, using first Leaf Tornado and then Wrap at the Tiny Bird pokemon.

Mudkip veered right and dodged the Leaf Tornado. Spearow broke free when Servine turned to attack Mudkip and flew in the sky to avoid the wrap, but was still struck by the Leaf tornado. Mudkip then used Avalanche at Servine and he continued to run into the fray with a Tackle now that Spearow was freed.

Servine was hit by the Avalanche and literally teetering. It eyed the Mudkip coming closer and exhaled sharply, before Glaring (EM) at it, if it hit, bound to paralyze. It then turned to Spearow, Glaring again before loosing a Leaf Tornado on Mudkip, trying to get rid of the source of the Avalanche.

Spearow got out of the Glare due to not being focused on so he zoomed at Servine with a Quick Attack and prepared a flurry of Pecks to make up for it getting trapped previously. Mudkip became paralyzed and it was stopped in its tracks and tried to move to no avail and was hit directly with the Leaf Tornado leaving it doomed on the ground.

Servine managed to successfully dodge a few Pecks but the rest made the level gap show up. Servine produced a most un-Servine like snarl before trying to Tackle Spearow on close range.

(I take it Mudkip fainted?)

Spearow flew up away from the Tackle and Growled at Servine to try to strengthen his attacks again. then flew behind Servine and caught up with Quick attack and used Peck once there again.

Servine sneered at Spearow before using Growth, forcing it's body to grow to raise it's Sp. Atk. Then it Leered at the bird, before rushing in with a Tackle.

Spearow Quick Attacked ahead of Servine as it quickly caught up, but he made it to his destination, above the fissure curious to see if Servine would fall for the trap. Lucas recalled Mudkip to its pokeball to keep it from any further injuries.

Servine did stumble into the gorge, but quick stepped it back up, not unlike a ninja, and partially pulled itself up with it's Vines, before releasing a Vine Whip at the increasingly agitating Spearow.

"Go to the outer side of the vines and pull it." Lucas ordered as he saw the opportunity. Spearow flew to the side of one of the vines and bit on it with all its might accepting that this could be the end for either pokemon. He pulled it as best he could with another vine flailing toward him. As he pulled he was hit by the other vine and lost ability to fly and flew into the gorge still holding onto the vine and looking for a place to perch if Servine falls.

Servine's pupils dilated and it immediately withdrew it's vines. Sending out two fresh ones, it pulled itself out and peered down the hole, wondering where it's opponent was.

Before the vine was recalled Spearow found a perch it could reach and it got enough air fro the vines being pulled back that it floated onto the cliff. once there it looked up in the darkness to see the shape of Servine at the end. It decide to make a wounded sound to try to get its foe to come down. Lucas heard his birds call and decided it was alive so he continued the battle know he had a chance.

(Don't worry, they don't die, just faint.)

Servine heard the pitiful sound and made to go down but was checked by his trainer. It stood there on the edge, looking at it's trainer, it's sleek, aqualine shape looking sinewy. It stepped back from the edge, waiting for the Spearow to come out so it could Tackle it.

Spearow regained some flight and flew to a perch on the side Servine was on and used peck on the wall trying to make some of the ground collapse so Servine would fall in and take damage from the fall.

Some of the ground did collapse. Although, not enough. A trickle of mud poured out and some gravel tumbled down but that was it. Servine was untouched in either way.

Now noticing the Servine is unable to be seen, Spearow flew up cautiously and once close enough he Quick Attack to the opposite side of the ravine. He looked across at the Servine and he prepared to use peck on any vines that approach his side and preparing to Quick Attack away from any upcoming Leaf Tornado.

Servine caught sight of the Spearow and the sharp glint returned to it's eye. How naive it had been to be thinking of going down after it. A foe was a foe. It twirled and Glared at the opponent again.

Spearow turned its back to the creature and landed to the ground awaiting its foe to come after it. Lucas took out one pokeball ready in case he needs to throw one.

Servine was outraged. Why wasn't the Spearow fighting up? It let out a cry of fury and deployed two vines at an attempt to Vine Whip it's opponent.

Spearow saw it's chance and took it. He went closer to the vines and flew up when they were going to hit him, they xollided and he took and vantage and took both in his mouth as best he could and flew around making a crude knot. He followed by pushing the wrapped up vines toward his side in an atempt to push the Servine off the edge.

Servine tugged sturdily, scrutinizing with a cool demeanor before bringing it's vine closer. Pushing here, pulling there, the intelligent pokemon managed to untangle them before shooting a Leaf Tornado at Spearow.
